Information we handle
Depending on how you use Larpi, we may handle:
- Account information: your Firebase user ID and the name, email address, and profile photo provided through Google sign-in. You can also choose to upload a profile photo.
- Content you provide: messages, character prompts and descriptions, story settings, preferences, comments, and other information you choose to add.
- Chat and memory data: conversations and character-specific memory used to continue a chat. Chat data is associated with your account and the character you are speaking with.
- Images: reference or profile images you choose to upload, plus generated character or portrait images.
- Plan and usage information: subscription entitlement, product/plan status, and usage counts needed to provide plan limits and features.
- Device and service information: basic app, device, diagnostic, and advertising information handled by Firebase and advertising services when enabled.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure Larpi, authenticate your account, deliver conversations and generated content, remember chat context, publish and display community characters and comments, provide subscriptions and plan limits, show ads where enabled, and respond to support or safety requests.
AI conversations and images
When you send a message, Larpi sends the message together with relevant character instructions, recent chat history, and any selected memory to our backend so it can generate a reply using Google Cloud Vertex AI. When you request character or portrait generation, the details you provide—and an image you choose to submit, if applicable—are sent through our backend to the AI service needed to fulfill that request.
AI output can be inaccurate or unexpected. Avoid putting passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information into chats. The AI service processes submitted content to provide the requested result under its service terms.
When information is shared
We share information with service providers only as needed to run Larpi, including:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, file storage, hosting, backend functions, and AI processing.
- Google Play and RevenueCat to process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and entitlement status. Payment details are handled by the applicable store; Larpi does not receive your full card number through RevenueCat.
- Google AdMob to serve and measure ads in parts of the app where ads are enabled.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your private chat messages as an advertising product.
Public content
If you publish a character or post a comment, that content may be visible to other Larpi users. Public character profiles may display the creator name or profile image attached to the content. Do not include personal information in a character or comment that you do not want others to see.
Security
Larpi uses Firebase Authentication and access-controlled Firebase services for account and app data. Network requests to Larpi services use HTTPS, and backend credentials are kept in server-side secret storage rather than in the mobile app. We apply access rules to restrict user data to authorized operations. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not share passwords, payment details, or other highly sensitive information in chats.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information and server-stored chats while your account is active or as needed to provide Larpi. The app may also keep a limited chat cache and appearance preferences on your device; clear the cache in Settings or uninstall the app to remove local copies. Clearing local cache does not delete server-stored chats.
You can delete individual chats and request deletion of your Larpi account and associated data. You can start account deletion in the app under Settings, or from the web at Larpi account deletion. After verifying the request, we delete or de-identify account data and content associated with it, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes. Some backup copies may remain for a limited period under routine service-provider retention cycles. Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Google Play; deleting a Larpi account does not cancel a store subscription.
Your choices
You can choose what to share in conversations, clear local chat cache, delete chats, manage or delete characters you created, manage subscriptions through Google Play, and request account deletion in the app or on the web. Device settings may also let you limit advertising personalization.
Children
Larpi is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Larpi, contact us so we can review and address the request.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as Larpi changes. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
